On the first day back, the kids had fun doing a "Friend Search." We found out different things the kids did on their time off.
| The children also made resolutions for the new year. I bound them together and it's a favorite book for the kids to read in class. |
Animal Reports.
Everyone wrote down their three favorite animals they wanted to research, and then I gathered their choices and created groups. So far, we've decorated folders and started collecting "interesting facts." The best part is that the kids can work together and support each other! Take a look at what worked on this week...
****The kids will be researching what their animals eat and where they live (habitat.) Also, they will drawing a diagram of their animal. If you'd like, help your child find this information online or in books and bring it to school. :)
The kids are learning a ton of information about Martin Luther King Jr. Ask your child to share what he/she has learned in class. We will continue learning about MLK, as well as Rosa Parks & Ruby Bridges. It's exciting to learn about people who have made a positive difference in our world!
What a way to start off 2016!!!
