It's inspiring when children learn about people who have helped make the world a better place.
Below is a pictorial about M.L.K. I prepare the chart in pencil and then tell the story of his life to the students by using markers, bringing the pictorial to life. It's a very powerful way to learn information! Show your child the pictorial and have him/her tell you what we learned about M.L.K.
Have a conversation your child about these words - I bet you'll be surprised ;)
KEY DETAILS
We do this in a number of ways:
* As I read aloud a non-fiction book, we stop & discuss what we just learned. I record the children's thinking on a sticky note & place it on a chart.
